  BEWARE: Worst internet service on the planet!!! I had Cox for years across 4 different homes because they were the main internet provider in the area. They disclose this, I’m sure, but your bill will go up $20-40/month after a year or two. I closed all of my 4 accounts in December of 2025 and switched to AT&T, which was significantly cheaper and they have fiber. I called and closed my account on two separate occasions and then dropped off my routers at the store and they confirmed my accounts were closed. I got charged for two months even after the three interactions with Cox ensuring my accounts were closed. Finally I got it resolved and they refunded, but 3 months later I get charged a significant amount of money in March, May, and June of 2026. Not April. I called the residential department and spoke to them for around 35min. The gentleman was kind and did everything he could to locate the charges. No results. He forwarded the call over the business department to see if there was a business account that we were missing. No luck finding the charges there. She tried to send me back to the residential department and I told her this needs to be escalated. For the months of March, May and June of 2026, I was charged a total of $545.16 and have no idea how or if I will get this money back. Cox comes off as very slimy, unethical and inconsistent. It seems as if they’re trying to take as much money from clients as they can and even after speaking with Cox on 4-5 occassions, I’m still here getting hefty charges. I really wish someone from Cox will read this and help me get my charges back. Worst internet provider ever!!!

  The service has been incredibly inconsistent. I experience weekly outages without any prior notice, which is a significant issue for a remote worker like me. The situation has deteriorated to the point where they employ AI call bots to attempt to resolve the problem instead of connecting me to a real person. I had to make 13 calls before finally getting a real person on the line.
