  Astound is horrendous. Unfortunately it’s my only option for area service. For a month, I’ve attempted to unravel the incorrect address that Astound assigned to my bulk account - 5 calls to India with the most incompetent people, disconnected my service, cancelled my appointment without my knowledge, & charged $176 to my bulk account. In order to assign the correct router info to the correct address, an onsite tech visit was required sccirfing to Astound - shouldn’t this have been done in my initial installation? You will be lied to & get virtually no assistance from offshore customer service. Spent another 2 hr customer service call last week to set up another tech appointment & get the charges removed from the non bulk account since it’s not my address. Yup, no show again for today’s tech appointment.

  Showing up at your house unannounced is indeed not a great business model. This is the second time in 4 days someone has showed up because they “got a ping” that someone at our address was checking prices and potentially interested in their service. It’s giving scummy car salesmen and definitely doesn’t make me interested in their service. It’s honestly rude and inconsiderate. Some people work night shifts, have sleeping babies, etc. This might be a wild idea - but maybe try calling first and seeing when the best time to show up would be.

  If it was possible to get zero stars, I would. Installation techs not showing up for appointments. Billing for service is not rendered. Stay away from astound business.

  Phone service is so-so, BUT customer service is brutal. I literally spent 3.5 hours on phone being tossed around to get a simple question answered: " How do we change the outgoing message on our business phone main number?" I went through 6 reps, IT, NOC department, supervisors - all the way up the pike, and no one knew the answer. I was told a higher level sup would call back - ghosted. Still can't change the message. I was teaching them how to use the Comm Admin panel in some cases. Also, FYI, if you want to make a simple name change on your account - they will make you delete the entire account, return equipment, then build a whole new account for you at current pricing, have to start from scratch, reset usernames, passwords, etc. (They call it an "assignment" but it really is a an account closure and a new rebuilt account).
