  If you need to set up Cox services in the Sierra Vista, AZ area, bypass the local storefront entirely and call their national corporate headquarters over the phone. The local branch is engaging in highly deceptive sales tactics and providing massive price markups compared to their official corporate rates. When I went to set up my service, the local office tried to force a mandatory technician fee on me, claiming the lines were completely inactive and it had been a significant amount of time since the property last had service. They also quoted me an astronomical monthly rate of nearly $400 for a standard package with Internet, more than double what I’ve paid for identical services in major high-cost-of-living areas on both the East and West Coasts. Because the pricing felt completely wrong, I called Cox Corporate Headquarters directly. The corporate representative completely contradicted the local office: they confirmed the previous tenant had moved out just six days prior, meaning all lines and outlets were already fully active and no technician was needed. Furthermore, Corporate quoted me over $150 a month LESS for the exact same features. While the corporate representatives were professional and resolved my issue satisfactorily, the local Sierra Vista office is relying on dishonest business practices to exploit customers. Since wired high-speed internet options are limited in this area, they seem to be taking advantage of a lack of competition. Save yourself a massive headache and hundreds of dollars: handle your account setup strictly through Corporate over the phone and steer clear of the local branch.

  Angel was incredibly helpful. Our internet was so slow we were about to switch to Allo when Angel informed us our equipment was old helped us with updating that and now our internet is fantastic! I so appreciate the customer service, he was helpful, kind and informative! We will stick with Cox!!
