I called for help, had missed tech appointments, was provided with incorrect information 3x, and ultimately had no choice but to cancel and get AT&T Air. I went into the store to return my modem, was told I’d get a $34 credit , only to later receive a bill for $56. I called 2x to resolve given the circumstances and was told balance was due. Here is what I think: cox’s customer service channels exist only to service optimal conditions. If anything happens outside those conditions, communication is siloed, aka work orders, and agents are not empowered with ownership. Centralized customer service will do this when you don’t have dynamic people to problem solve. Cox leadership would be wise to address it. They’re no longer the only player in town. Real competition is here.
