    Very disappointing experience. After 10 months of service, I was supposed to receive two free months as part of my agreement. Instead, they charged me for those two months and added a late payment fee, claiming they didn’t receive payment. When I called, they admitted I was supposed to get the two free months, but said my bank account “didn’t work,” so they charged me anyway. That makes no sense since those months should not have been billed at all. I ended up paying just to cancel because I didn’t want to deal with a company that handles billing like this. They even offered to refund the money only if I signed up for their phone service. I would be very cautious before signing up with this company.

    Do NOT use Astound. We've never had such a poor experience with any utility company. They first came to install equipment only to find that some of their infrastructure in the building wasn't working -- fine, it happens and they said they'll come back. Since we needed internet ASAP, we decided to go with a different provider. Astound then still charges us an activation fee despite us never starting service or even having our equipment installed. Later, they threaten to charge us an equipment fee. We let them send a tech out to collect any equipment to avoid that fee, but when the tech shows up and inspects our unit, he says there is no equipment at all. We thought this should be the end of the misunderstanding, but apparently that tech never reported this properly. Astound goes ahead and charges us for the equipment we never received, despite sending a tech out to collect it -- and they charge us additionally for sending the tech out. We've tried to contact customer support multiple times, reaching a human on the phone, who then tells us they will escalate and give us a call back. We have never heard back. Astound has directly debited $300+ from our bank for all of these fees. I would not normally post a Google review like this but at this point it seems pretty necessary - please avoid this company at all costs.

    we were led to beleive that we were getting a sweet deal with a $49 price and also a $200 gift card and so far this is a lie the $49.00 became $75 for no reason ( we are paying more that we were paying with the company we left) and after 6 months no gift card , every time we call they throw the ball to a third company that has a website just to claim your card ,the phone number provided is an automated service you never get to speak to anyone and the email we still waiting for a reply after a few months so do not get fooled by this company , we totally regret the day we were convinced to move with lies.

    I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years (on and off, I moved back and still chose RCN). The price increases over the last year have become completely unreasonable. What's worse? I was initially told that charges are calculated by the day rather than the full billing cycle. However, when it came time to finalize the cancellation, they informed me I am required to pay until the end of the next billing cycle. Mine just started 2 days ago. It is incredibly disappointing to see a company treat long-term customers with such inconsistency. I appreciate the customer service lady who was nice and polite and trying her best to retain customers, but her supervisor rejected my request to calculate by days.
