- CHCatherine HNov 7, 20251.0Astound doesn't tell you that if you are switching service providers for Internet, you cannot do self-installation as they need to have someone come out and disconnect the previous cable and connect the astound cable on the utility pole. If I had selected "professional installation" (usually $99), it would have been free, but I selected self-installation (free) because there was no warning about self installation not being possible for people switching Internet service providers. Now, I have to take the morning off work for the installation and pay an $80 technician visit
