The employee who handled my grandmother's ticket was rude and, when she didn’t understand the issue, she told us to “call customer service.” Had she closed her mouth long enough to listen versus trying talk over me, we may have been able to get to a resolution. My grandmother's account has been with them since Cox services became available in her parish and we couldn’t even speak with a supervisor. If you’re going to refer customers to customer service, at least provide a direct contact since Cox's customer service rarely has the option to speak to a person and routes people to chat box. This store clearly needs more training—maybe have them shadow the Gretna store. Gretna is pleasant, patient, and able to multitask, especially with elderly customers. And to Cox Corporate: The company needs better access to customer service and equitable costs for seniors versus pushing overpriced technology they cannot use on them. The senior citizen demographic is one the company should cherish, since most under 50 will go to other companies to get internet and just stream. As I type this I am still waiting to talk to a human on the number I was given, while simultaneously trying to get help from the Cox chat box option.
