Avoid at all costs. After being talked into helping them transfer our service to the new tenant rather than cancel, they said we still had to turn in the old hardware! Why! What's the point of transferring?! Now we had to get the new tenant to wrap up the hardware and place it on the porch. Well after scheduling the pick up appointment we find out there isn't a pick up service for hardware. Well then why did you send us the link!!! We don't even live in Topeka anymore!!! We had a friend drop it off but I would avoid them at all costs. Worst customer service ever. Also, if they ask you to help them transfer the service to the new tenants save yoursself and the new person the headaches and get satellite.

Chose Cox because it was the only service in town. Service was OK for me but they make it insanely difficult and time consuming to cancel. It's like trying to cancel a gym membership mixed with scummy car dealership practices. They make you connect with costumer service to cancel, which is a nightmare. Then they ask for account authentication, including a pin that I never set up or was prompted to set up when I got the service. Turns out, they set up the pin for you and don't tell you, so they are authenticating your account with info they generate, which doesn't make sense. I think they do this to delay being able to authenticate you, so you have to get their app and change everything yourself. They are hoping you forget essentially. Otherwise, why not just have an option to cancel service when you log into the site?

Braden (?) is the only employee that saved your reviews from WW3 today....the customer service I received on the phone made me want to kill myself & then kill COX. I can't remember his complete name b/c I had a stroke & I'm traumatized from my phone calls to COX today.
I just wanted to return my equipment & cancel my service yo. It shouldn't be that hard! I am glad we're breaking up! Thank you, Braden(?)/ store employee for saving the world!

The worst. Stop calling me EVERYDAY offering me faster speeds for more money. I know it’s not this store specifically, but it’s the company. I’m waiting to switch to another company asap.

0 STARS-AVOID COX AT ALL COSTS
I was forced to have Cox internet while living in Manhattan KS due to that being the only provider that would service my apartment. I paid way too much money a month for it to constantly be down/slow/very spotty. I had one tv, 2 laptops, and 2 phones that would be connected, and never all at the same time. That’s not the biggest issue though. I recently moved out of Cox’s coverage to a new city. I was so thankful to be able to shop around for a new company. The day I moved, it was already after Cox store hours and I was not going to make a separate drive back. So, I returned my equipment to a UPS store in my new city, per their instructions. I got a receipt (which was lost in the move), but figured everything would be fine as it was out of my hands and being sent back to cox. WRONG-O. I went to close my account one day and saw a $240 charge on my account. Why, you ask? Unreturned equipment fee. I RETURNED IT. After multiple chats and calls with Cox, they told me I was out of luck if I didn’t have my receipt. I contacts UPS, who also couldn’t give me another receipt, as they apparently don’t keep it on file. I RETURNED MY EQUIPMENT and am still being charged because Cox “never got it.” I have no choice but to pay it but I am NOT HAPPY. $240 for something that I returned, on time might I add. NEVER AGAIN will Cox get an ounce of my business and I will tell anyone and everyone I know to go with someone else. Sincerely, a 4+ year Cox customer who is beyond done
