Writing this review while my Internet is experiencing it's 4th outage this month. Me and my roommate have been paying $110 a month in total for 5 months and have had nothing but issues. The cox app frequently malfunctions and does not work as needed, my Internet will frequently go out or experience major issues with connection on a weekly basis. I'm not sure why I'm spending over $100 a month for Internet that seldom works. The folks who lived in this house before us experienced similar issues as well, and this was over 10+ years ago. Cox has shown no interest in improving or changing any of their obvious issues and have been treating their paying customers poorly. If you have a alternative option for an Internet service provider, take your money and spend it there.

I leave this review for the customer service at this store, not for Cox as a whole. I’ve used cox for the last 4 years as a college student, and the Manhattan office has been incredibly helpful as I’ve moved apartments and had difficulty with older houses. Every time they have helped me quickly and kindly. Today I called the store to ask for help with Easy-Pay enrollment issues and Brock was not only helpful, but went above and beyond with customer service and asked about my day. We need more people like him in customer service!

If you live in Junction City, KS and rely on Cox for internet, be prepared for frustration. The service is unreliable, the speeds rarely match what’s advertised, and customer support is inconsistent at best. Although Cox advertises high-speed plans — even up to 2 Gbps — the actual speeds in this area average around 140 Mbps down and 10–15 Mbps up on a good day. During peak hours, connections drop or crawl, making streaming, gaming, or remote work painful. Outages happen far too often, and communication from Cox during those times is minimal or non-existent. Technicians are hit or miss — sometimes they don’t show, cancel without notice, or replace equipment without addressing the real issue: outdated neighborhood infrastructure. Much of Junction City still relies on aging coaxial lines, which simply can’t handle modern internet demand. Oversubscription makes it worse — too many users on the same node mean everyone’s performance tanks in the evenings. Pricing and data caps add insult to injury. Cox charges premium prices for subpar, inconsistent service. For many of us, it feels like we’re paying for a product we rarely get. Unfortunately, limited competition in the area means most people feel stuck with them. In short, Cox Internet in Junction City is unreliable, overpriced, and poorly supported. Until Cox invests in real infrastructure upgrades and customer service improvements, expect more buffering, outages, and frustration.

Literally go with anyone else. In the past few months alone I’ve had issues with my WiFi everyday sometimes multiple times a day where the internet randomly cuts out. I’m not paying $95 to only use my WiFi a little bit.
