Me and my wife got bait and switched! We had the one gig internet plan and they told us with two unlimited lines it would be $140 a month. Turns out they put protection on a phone we did not want it on and moved us to the slowest plan without telling us! The lady who works their decieved us! When I switched the plan back myself and took the protection off it was $170 a month! So do not trust the lady who works there! I have worked on comission pay for 5 years so I get it but she is defintly lying to make more money!

My experience with Cox Communications has been one of the worst I have had as a customer. Since November, Cox has been charging me for a mobile line that was NEVER activated or used. They themselves told me they could not provide me with mobile service because my phone was supposedly flagged as stolen, which is completely false, yet they still began billing me month after month. First it was $10, then more than $40 for a service that does not exist. I have tried to resolve this through every possible channel: I have called customer service between 15 and 20 times, contacted them by email, through the app, on X (Twitter), and on Facebook. Every time they tell me they will call me the next day to fix it, and they never do. It feels like they just want to end the call without providing any real solution. Each time I receive a different explanation: that the line is on a tablet (false), that I must go to a physical store, at the store they tell me it must be handled by customer service, and customer service sends me back to the store again. Last week I went personally to a Cox store paying for an Uber because I do not have a vehicle due to a legal process I am currently going through, and I spent almost $100 on transportation only to be told they could not help me. Today I called again to ask that the charges be canceled or paused because I do not have money to pay for a service I never had, and once again I was told I must go to a store, even after explaining that an Uber costs $48 each way. This is absurd and inhumane. I have lost time, money, and emotional energy during a very sensitive period of my life. After months of calls, messages, and patience, it is clear to me that Cox has no real intention of fixing an error they themselves created. At this point, the only option they have left me is to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) because they gave me no other alternative. I have had too much patience and too much condescension, and that has now ended.
🚨🚨🚨This review is to warn other customers: if you have a real problem with Cox, be prepared to lose time, money, and patience. Very disappointed with the treatment I have received.

Don’t go to this location if there is another one go there. They treated my as if I stole my HUSBAND identity I moved and had to change providers the service is in my HUSBAND name but I was told from cox customer service when I called the 800 number they it wouldn’t be an issue for me to come pick up the equipment especially because I’m an authorized user and the account was also noted. I went to this location and it was the complete opposite they told me he had to come pick it up his self I could have stole his ssn. How embarrassing is that, that is my husband and ridiculous so long story short my HUSBAND had to take time off work and go down there to pick up equipment horrible experience

Beware. DO NOT get lured into Cox’s services. Not to mention the service is frequently interrupted, they will not help when it matters. There is a reason there are so many negative comments on their social media posts, beware! You should not get COX. The line above the road leading to our house was downed today. The line is strung across our driveway and down the sidewalk. They tell us not to touch it but they won’t be here to help remove and repair it until the next day. We have to leave our home. The man on the chat says don’t touch the wire, but the fact that they haven’t fixed it implies it must not be that dangerous, right? The lack of customer service from Cox has been underwhelming and don’t waste your time with their chat, waste of time. Better off to call the call center, at least you can speak to a person who can think a little outside of a checklist.
