    They advertise one price and charge you double! Customer service at this location is horrible. I came in asking about the wifi being off (once again) and got yelled at by the man in the front desk. Decided to cancel right there and then. I had them for years, even when it was called Wave. The WiFi always disconnects at random times and by the time I noticed it had been hours already. Honestly wasted so much money trying to make this service work.

    mike 28553 is the ultimate tech analyst/reconstruction person! Mike searched out and fixed things that we didn't even know needed upgrading or fixing (like security cameras), beyond what was the initial reasons for his assigned visit. He's very friendly, and asked several times if there's anything else. All this took a considerable amount of time, yet he wasn't ready to leave until he was certain that all and everything was functioning perfectly.

    Mike 28553 was able to connect our internet through our router so we could turn off the wi-fi singal. Because Mike was able to turn off the wi-fi singal as we needed for our health, we will remain an Astound customer for as long as we are alive. Mike exceeded any expectations that we would have expected and brought hope back into our lives that there are companies that care about their customers. Thank you Astound for hiring technicians who Know what they are doing and care about their customers. We are happy that we are able to keep Astound as our internet provider since Astound has the fastest speeds and the cheapest "price for life" with out any temporary promotional or gimmick pricing. 100 and 10% Job well done, Thank You Astound.     Full disclosure, this is a review about the astound location in san mateo. This has nothing to do with the service of the rest of astound and the internet connection itself. Came in on a leisure Saturday morning to pick up our astound modem, that we placed an order online for. The minute we walked in, we were not greeted as he(Lenny) was the only one standing at the counter. I had to say good morning to him. Afterwards I felt like I had to walk on eggshells around him. I had to ask him multiple times to get clarification on what would occur with setting up the modem and cutting off my existing carrier. He already had a smart remark and said this is what I just explained to you. Apparently, he didn't explain it to where I could understand. Also, his instructions were absolutely incorrect and misleading. When I went home to set up the modem. He said, when you plug in the cable, it will take ten minutes to activate automatically.And we would have internet. Fact: Plug in modem, then contact the astound 1800 # to then let the automated system. know to activate the modem. And that would take thirty minutes. What you need to do is plug a hardwire connection to your laptop or computer.And then you will get a splash page to then set up your wifi ssid and password. Long story short, that a worker that worked on saturday looked like he wanted us out as quickly as possible. I was the only customer there. It felt like we were bothering him. If you can, I would avoid going to this location if that guy (with a scruffy mustache beard) is there. If you have no choice, then i'm sorry and get in and out of there as fast as you can. Or no soup for you! Update: The employee's name: Lenny and I prefer to keep my anonymity.
