    Cox Communications – Modernong Qwest na may Nakakatakot na Tech Twist. Kung sa tingin mo ay masama ang Qwest noon, maghintay ka muna hanggang sa makipag-ugnayan ka sa Cox Communications. Ngayon lang ako nakaranas ng isang kumpanyang ganito ka-frustrate, kalat-kalat, at tila invasive. Patuloy na bumababa ang serbisyo, ang bilis ay hindi tumutugma sa binabayaran ko, at kahit papaano, ang kanilang "remote diagnostics" ay tila palaging nangangailangan ng access sa aking computer.     Tried to get assistance for my elderly mother who is in an assisted living facility. Her phone and TV were no longer working. We were denied access to her account and was told to leave and never come back. Staff were very rude and refused to help. Found help easily using the Cox help line.

    PLEASE READ BEFORE: I just signed up with cox for the first time today and when I called the guy was very nice and was actually honest. He pushed me for the 500mbps internet plan (they get paid on upsells) but I denied and he said no problem. I am a single guy and have no need for more than 300. He sets me up and I go in store to pick up hardware. Here's where it gets interesting: I believe his name was Enrique, seemed like a nice guy (classic sales guy) and now this guy is pushing insanely hard on the 500mbps. I decline but say I'm open to discussing. I said before we move forward I really don't think I need the 500. He continues pushing me and saying I'll be very disappointed with the 300, Im gonna have a bad experience blah blah blah. I respectfully decline and he says he already submitted the order and can't change it. He tells me they're closed until Tuesday and I have to call the main branch 3 days later. I call customer service and now deal with their bs for 2 hours because they say if I downgrade I don't get the promotional price. After countless hours I get it through and finally get it set up. I won't go into the further issues but I spent hours on the phone with technical support because internet wouldn't work. They say they need to send a technician in. Good old ChatGPT helps and I open the router box and they didn't even have the router hooked up properly when they installed it in this new house. I fix the plugs and it's all working. This entire ramble to say, Im in sales, sales gets a bad rep when people are selfish and don't offer you what you NEED but they offer you what they want you to need to get their commission. I have denied clients when what we offer does not fit their needs. I think that is respectful business. Please be careful with the upsells, what kind of a single guy needs 500mbps internet? I didn't understand how it all worked so maybe thought I was missing something and wanted to trust him. Please only get what you need and research ahead of time this guy was worse than a used car dealership.
