- MMMehdi MartinJan 5, 20261.0Apartment I leased was supposed to have a modem already in the unit, but they didn't. I picked up a modem from this store for my apartment and was told I would not have to return the modem and should just leave it in the apartment unit. This turned out to be incorrect information. After terminating my lease with the apartment and disconnecting my service, Cox was going to charge me $240 due to unreturned equipment for this modem. I had to spend multiple hours on the phone with Cox's god awful support system, and even had to contact the apartment building to be let back into the apartment to retrieve the modem to return it. This has potentially exacerbated a legal matter with that apartment building, as the lease was supposed to have been terminated due to ongoing noncompliances on their end. All because an employee couldn't bother double checking his information to ensure the information he was giving me was correct. The staff here is either lazy or incompetent, and very likely a combination of both. If you can, visit another store with more competent employees, or even better, do business with a different ISP. Personally, I will never use Cox communications for anything again.
