The worst WiFi I have ever had the unfortunate experience of dealing with. I have never heard of them before and now I know why. Only even tried it because it’s wired through my apartment complex. WiFi never works. Been paying for months and never was able to use it. They’ve sent out service techs and tried to charge me hundreds of dollars for a modem I was never given because THEY CANCELED THE DELIVERY. I took days off work to be home. Now because I refuse to pay for WiFi I don’t have they’re trying to charge me another $300. Absolutely the lowest scummiest money grab of a provider. RUN.

**1-Star Review: Cox Communications – A Nightmare of Incompetence and Frustration**
I recently attempted to set up Cox service at our new home in **Waddell, AZ**, and it was one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with any company.
It started online: my husband couldn't add the new address to his existing account due to some restriction on multiple homes. We called customer service and spent over 20 minutes on the phone with an overseas rep who followed a rigid script, ignored our questions, and accomplished absolutely nothing.
Next, we went to a physical Cox store. After waiting about 15 minutes, the sales rep asked for our address—twice—then entered it incorrectly (a simple typo) and insisted Cox doesn't provide service to Waddell at all. Despite my husband's uncle living just a mile north with active Cox 1G service, she doubled down. She even called over a manager, who looked it up from another workstation, gave a thumbs-down across the room, and confirmed they "don't serve" the area. I asked several times how they determined this and for any resources to check other providers—zero helpful answers. Only after I insisted she re-enter the address correctly did it suddenly show up as serviceable. The whole denial was caused by her typo. They scheduled installation, but by then my trust was completely gone.
As a work-from-home employee who needs reliable high-speed internet, I wasn't willing to risk more incompetence. I researched alternatives and switched to **Wyyerd Fiber** instead. The entire setup took just 15 minutes, with outstanding customer service, better equipment, transparent pricing, no data caps, and true fiber-optic technology delivering symmetrical speeds up to **5 GIG** (5000 Mbps up and down). According to Cox employees, they don't offer fiber in Waddell—only cable internet up to **2 GIG**—so Wyyerd was a massive upgrade.
The final insult came when I tried to cancel with Cox: 30 minutes on hold, an overseas rep who read back my info, said she couldn't cancel, needed to transfer me to the "Loyalty department"—and then the call dropped (or was hung up). I had to call the physical store directly, where one employee finally handled it professionally, apologized sincerely, and canceled the installation.
**Bottom line**: Nearly every interaction with Cox was marked by errors, apathy, poor training, and scripted incompetence. The prices don't come close to justifying the hassle. If you're in the Phoenix metro area (including Waddell), do yourself a favor and skip Cox entirely—go with a reliable fiber provider like Wyyerd Fiber. Your time, sanity, and internet experience will be so much better. Avoid Cox at all costs!

Cox is the worst Internet provider I have ever come across. I have had them in Arizona for eight years and I can’t say enough bad stuff about them. They are a rip off. They constantly raised their rates. And be aware that if they give you a “promotion” to save you some money, it’s likely they’ve automatically put you into a two-year contract. It’s OK I will pay $160 to get rid of this company. I hope Wyrred puts them out of business. Good riddance, Cox.!!! The only reason I’m giving them one star is because I can’t give them zero star rating.

The TV and wireless internet always cut out and the customer service is a joke and they're so rude and not helpful whatsoever this is so irritating that all I want to do is watch TV and I can't do that because they cut off the cable at random and bad times and the price of the bill is way too high I recommend no body to use this service at all save your money and go elsewhere like Dish or Direct TV and or CenturyLink
