Having said that though... Cox Communications is utterly deceitful. The connection stability is horrid in my neighborhood, and the prices are too high to justify any longer. After 30+ years as a customer, I have finally given up on them. I have recorded logs demonstrating service drops multiple times a day, lasting anywhere from one to fifteen minutes, for over three straight weeks, at which point I finally gave up. When I called to cancel the service, the representative made multiple desperate attempts to retain my account—even offering to dropping the cost, which I had previously been told was "impossible." The true deceit came when I asked about their router. I was explicitly told by their representative that I did not need to return it and that I could dispose of it. I waited two weeks just to be sure but eventually donated it to a thrift store. Now, over a month later, I'm being charged a non-return fee for the equipment I was told to discard. This epitomizes the company's business practices.
