We have been loyal customers for many years. i am currently shopping around. In a month and a half we were told on two separate occasions by 2 different representatives that we were due for an upgrade. At both times we were told it was free. The second time we were told it was canceled and they did not know why. We called Cox today to find out where this new modem was. Only to be informed it was canceled again, by the automated system, AGAIN. Then the rep. told us that it would be $8 fee for the modem. Was this a monthy or a one time charge... I never found out. I did air my grievances and asked to speak to a supervisor because that person could not answer my questions. The supervisor could not answer my questions. However, they could offer promotions which is just the same a regular customer service employee. POINTLESS!. He also out out of blue said there would be a $3 fee and a $10 monthly fee for the upgraded modem. If you say I am due for an upgrade and that it free and part of the service TWICE, then back it!. If your automated service cancels a equipment shipment twice, someone or some AI agent should notify the customer. YOU ARE A COMMUNICATION COMPANY. A company that makes over 10 billion a year. Has thousands of employees. Someone there should know how to pick up a phone and call, text, email, or send a notification to an app., and yes I have the app. When something like failed promises such as "FREE" services or equipment has occurred, do not offer promotions, fix the issue. First time I can understand, second time is on you. Definitely on the 3 time around DO NOT ACT NONCHALANT ABOUT IT! Be humble understanding and acknowledge your ineptitude. For a communication company your ability to adequately.... well COMMUNICATE is disgraceful. If your automated system cancels and order intended for a client then it should automatically inform someone so they can inform the client or even just Inform the client. Maybe not all that read this will care. However if you choose COX communication and you have read this you have been warned. if you choose Cox and have issue just spend the money and take the promotion and fees until you can no longer afford it. Because that is is all their customer service is truly there for.

ZERO STARS this company has yet to do anything right it lets me schedule for a new modem installation today and then nothing no one shows up just to see that they are closed today stupid company that gets nothing right and the customer support tells me I can’t get it installed til Tuesday so two days later and I can get my WiFi? No thanks worst WiFi company around

If I could leave no stars I would. This is hands down the worst internet provider I’ve ever had the displeasure of having, if I was in the middle of Antarctica and cox was the only provider I’d choose to go without, not that it would be any better with them because it was the most unreliable service I’ve ever had all while somehow being the most expensive. Service is guaranteed to drop out for a whole day at least once a month. Can’t call and talk to someone without being on hold for 20 minutes and when you do get someone they aren’t the most helpful, I was paying 100 bucks a month for 1g that I never got. That’s actually the driver for me switching, its like they knew they were the only game in town because when I complained about my service the guy who I was talking to said “find another provider”. It just so happened a month later Dobson fiber laid a line right in front of my house, made a phone call and had to wait for a few months for them to activate it but definitely worth it. Cox is charging a premium price for sub par service everything from the quality of service, value for the price, customer service, and the quantity of data available (it’s 2026 what company does offer unlimited data). You’ll be better off with literally anyone else, do not get involved with this company.

We called for a 3rd time to get someone out here to bury a cable that has been on my lawn for over two months. The technician was here on Saturday 2-14. He isn't equipped to bury cable. He said he would submit a rush order. This is the second time the so called rush order was supposed to happen. Just bad bad service.
