  I agree with below statement but at least he got fair 5k free play amount back. Can’t expect to win every time. For my birthday I didn’t even get free slot play ha! Gave me free coins for a game app! WOW. Meanwhile someone next to me received birthday free play of $200.00 and betting 1.00 ridiculous really. Save your paper trail and submit to the commission board.

  Nice casino but even in the non smoking section you where smelling soap and an awful scent that was pumped through vents. Left with a headache.

  West Virginia casino Terrible service you guys needs to make sure bring a government ID or passport otherwise they don’t let you guys in we drove 1 hour from Rockville Maryland to this place just for nothing ill never comeback to this place ever again Try the one on Arundel mill that one is much better

  Nice casino in West Virginia. We visited while taking a road trip through West Virginia and Maryland. The casino was great with all the popular games and plenty of food and beverage options. It was very crowded and seemingly EVERYONE smokes cigarettes which makes the whole place stink even the non smoking areas. Other than that it's a lot of fun and having the racetrack breaks the monotony of sitting at a slot machine for hours. It's fun to go bet the next race and then watch it go off. Besides the cigarette smoke I highly recommend this place

  I gamble a lot, and thanks to my job I can travel and gamble at the same time. This casino is visually one of the nicest looking places I have been to in my travels. The hotel is also quite pleasant if you can get past the constant stench of cigarette smoke. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They offer a good double deck Blackjack game with decent penetration (players who care about this, you know who you are) and fair table minimums for entry. But the slots man. Oh my Jesus H Fudge, the God dang slots. They do. Not. Pay. They do. Not. Pay. There is no casino I have played at in my travels with as garbage player returns as Hollywood Charlestown. I am not exaggerating when I say I haven't left this place ONCE in the green. I came here on a whim back in November of 2025. They were offering three nights free per week, $400 Penn Cash, so I went down for the week. In three days I must have lost close to $10,000. Easy. I was never more livid than on this trip. The bonus features on their games trigger so sparsely, and when they do trigger they hardly pay a dime. I have never felt more abused by any place of business in my life. I said to myself never again. I find myself back here three months later, $5k in free play, and I still can't win! It's ridiculous. They need to increase their RTPs. It's atrocious and playing is agonizingly depressing. I'm redeeming the remainder of this free play and kissing this place goodbye after. Never again in this place. And it is so sad because the property is well taken care of but unplayable. Every other Penn property I've been to actually pays and on occasion you can leave a winner. Leave this place. Save your money. Gamble somewhere they actually respect the players pockets.
