Being in Wisconsin, there is not a lot of vertical drop. However this little ski area is family oriented and makes the most of what they've got. After not skiing for 30 years, it is a fun little place to come back to it. As expected the rental ski edges are anything but sharp, but they worked well enough for the easier slopes. After enjoying skiing with my grandson at school lessons, I bought a pair of skis and boots and poles, and went back today to try the rest of the hill. I skied everything but the double black diamonds, and had a great time. A season pass for seniors is quite reasonably priced at $239, so I now have one of those also. But if you're thinking of skiing here on weekdays I want you to think it's horrible, since I love skiing right back onto the chair lift. ;)

you might read this confirmation and think this ticket like it says includes “ lift ticket, rentals, and check-in for your lesson at the front ticket counter.” But that would make to much sense. What they really mean is that actually once you get there they will try and charge you for lift and rentals. If it didn’t say it on the ticket I would understand but it did and then they wouldn’t honor their own words. The manager must not know what managing is because she wouldn’t come out from hiding in the back room and would send someone else out to say no we won’t honor this with no cause behind it. We ended up getting a refund but no answers.

I’ve never left a review in my life, but as someone who absolutely hates scammers, I feel obligated to warn others about this place. If you think you’re paying $90 for snowboarding with everything included, you’re wrong. Even though our confirmation clearly stated everything was included, they refused to admit their mistake and tried to charge us extra with no explanation whatsoever.
They avoided speaking to us entirely, and the manager literally hid in the back and wouldn’t come out to have a simple conversation. The customer service is awful and the management is even worse. Do not waste your time or money here if you’re going to pay over $200 for a hill I could build in my backyard, you might as well just come to my backyard instead.

TLDR: not a mountain to go to if you want teach your kids without a lesson.
Tickets / Rentals -
Everything must be purchased online. As someone who prefers in person ticket sales, I found this slightly inconvenient.
Rentals -
Boot rentals quick and easy, moderate line for snowboard rental
Bunny hill-
First time taking my 7 and 5 year old snowboarding. Wanted to see how they liked it. Neither kid wanted to take a lesson (they get uncomfortable with new people and groups) so I bought myself a lift ticket for $100 (in addition to their lift tickets) to take them to the bunny hill to gradually try it out. Was kicked off the bunny hill since I had snow boots on was told I needed to have both my snowboard boots and snowboard on. I asked how I was expected to teach beginners when I was strapped into a board and they said if you can’t figure it out then put your kids in a lesson. I explained my kids were too scared to do a lesson which is why I was trying to teach them myself. They have no flexibility.
I followed their rules, rented boots and a board for myself (for another $63) and tried to teach their way. It was incredibly hard and unsafe trying to help them get on and off the magic carpet while I was strapped in to my board. I can understand liability but I already signed a waiver for my lift ticket. I don’t understand why I had to be strapped into a snow board the entire time.
Also, there were very young kids unattended and crying at the top of the bunny hill.
I’m sure it’s adequate if you put your kids in lessons, but if your kids are like mine and can’t just be thrown into a new situation easily this is not the place to learn to ski or snowboard.

Nice hill for beginners I've been many times usually a great staff. Today was my kids first day on snowboard. Our great day of firsts was interrupted by an employee name Tom. He came running to the beginner hill yelling at my 10yr she can't go onto the carpet strapped into her snowboard. He continued to yell at me when I asked him to calm down and talk at a nicer tone. Tom then put his hands on both my arms and yelled in my face that she must have a foot unstrapped to ride the lift carpet. I asked him to takes his hands off me and lower his tone. Tom continued to scream in my face until other parents told him he's out of line and needs to calm down. My daughter began to cry from all the yelling. His ability to escalate a simple situation was incredible. We pay a lot of money to go down a little hill I would hope for better service.
To make it even better we got to watch crazy Tom yell at kids on the magic carpet and argue with children!
I understand staffing is difficult but this male karen should not be around children or families for that matter. Tom if you read this, you should seek help.
