- CCC CDec 30, 20251.0This used to be a good place to shop for members. 1) They outsourced the 1 hour free parking lot to a predatory company that gains money by finding parking violations and booting your vehicle or writing a ticket. So, of course, the outsourced parking company makes their parking app unusable so that you can not pay for parking because the app is unusable and the parking company can tow your car and make $300 profit or ticket you and make $150 profit. IT IS A SCAM! I downloaded the app and it does not work! I went to REI customer service desk and they told me "they are not responsible, it is the parking lot company that is responsible, REI can do nothing to help me with the parking app YES REI IS RESPONSIBLE! REI CONTRACTED WITH THE PREDATORY PARKING COMPANY. REI IS GIVING ME CORPORATE "DOUBLE SPEAK."
