They advertise 2 hours free parking, but in tiny print on literally one exit sign, they say you need to use the stupid diamond parking app to sign up for your free parking. Got a ~$40 ticket for just stopping in for 15m to pick up a $200 jacket I wanted to get in person instead of buying through their website or through amazon. I’ve shopped here dozens of times and never once had this happen. It seems like they now are using Diamond parking to police their lot. Seems strange to me to introduce this right before prime holiday shopping season. I know I for sure will not be going back to this store, and will not be choosing REI in general again as long as this is the way they choose to run their business.

Now REI decided to nickel and dime people and made this lot into a Diamond parking lot. You get 2 hours free. If you forget to register you car, you get a ticket. If you are 1 minute past the 2 hours, you get a ticket. Out of all the parking enforcement systems they could have employed, they contracted the one with the worst reputation in the united states. Shame on REI leadership. So disconnected from it's roots.
