Sites are cluttered and tight. Once, this may have been a pretty decent campground but obvious lack of maintenance and upkeep lends itself to a second class campsite. Alright if you are stuck. Staff member we dealt with was most pleasant.

The restroom and shower facilities were in unacceptable condition — dirty, poorly maintained, and so unpleasant that it made us not even want to use them. I would genuinely prefer to shower in a nearby river than step into those facilities again. Customer service was equally poor. Every interaction with staff felt unwelcoming and dismissive. It’s unfortunate when you’re paying to stay somewhere and the people representing the property seem irritated to assist you. Another major concern is that most amenities are only available until 5 p.m., which makes it difficult to actually enjoy the campground if you arrive later in the day or have plans during regular hours. To make matters worse, the campground design is incredibly inconvenient. There are two overflow or “camping” areas across a busy road that are essentially parking lots with no access to bathrooms, showers, or any amenities. Guests placed there have to walk across traffic just to reach basic facilities — something that feels both unsafe and unreasonable. Overall, this campground needs serious improvement in cleanliness, customer service, and guest safety. I would not recommend Thunderbird Thousand Trails to anyone until significant changes are made.
