Lucky Strike Bellevue helped my company host a holiday party for 75 turned out great. The food was delicious, the set-up fit everyone for both an award ceremony/meal service and plenty of games/other shenanigans. The event was gracious, helpful, and kind and I would definitely recommend giving them a shot. They were able to accomodate all of our food allergy/preferences as well as the A/V needed for the event. Great job to this team - and much appreciated for your efforts!
Disappointing New Year’s Eve Experience
We had a very disappointing New Year’s Eve experience at Lucky Strike, Bellevue, which unfortunately ruined what should have been a special night for me and my family.
We arrived at 9:00 PM, as clearly stated on both the event listing and our email confirmation (9:00 PM–1:00 AM). At the entrance, security checked our confirmation and then told us the event actually started at 10:00 PM, saying the 9:00 PM time mentioned in the email was a mistake. Trusting this information, we left and spent an hour walking around the mall in the cold.
When we returned at 10:00 PM, the front desk informed us that we were expected at 9:00 PM. After explaining what security had told us and pointing out the guard we were told there had been a staff error.
We were then escorted to our booth, where all the food had already been laid out for over an hour and was completely cold. At that point, we were hungry and frustrated, and seeing cold food was a major letdown. Staff acknowledged the mistake and offered to replace the food, but by then the experience was already soured.
To make matters worse, our assigned lane was the second-to-last, which made bowling extremely awkward everyone seated had to stand up and move each time someone bowled. The group next to us, at the end by the wall, didn’t have this issue at all. It felt like poor planning and unfair seating.
The food quality overall was also below expectations. Considering we paid around $500, the confusion, lost hour of time, cold food, uncomfortable seating, and general disorganization completely dampened our New Year’s Eve celebration.
Management offered arcade tickets, champagne, and later bowling gift cards, but after such a negative experience, we weren’t interested in returning or spending more time or money there.
Losing an entire hour of a prepaid event due to staff miscommunication is unacceptable. This experience lacked basic coordination and customer care, especially for a premium NYE event. Unfortunately, we left disappointed and would think twice before booking another special occasion here.

We booked a party. We paid 80 dollars for the venue. Two people came about 5 to 10 minutes late and they denied us entry to bowl and they refused to refund the 80 dollars. The employees were extremely rude.

I’m by no means a “bowler” but I’ve been bowling for much of my life. This was my first time playing with string set pins. I found the experience very frustrating, as did most in my larger group. Strikes are hard to get. Sometimes pins would fall in non-sensical ways. Overall, don’t come here expecting a classic bowling experience. Enjoy the place for offering expensive bowling with greasy food and a pitcher of beer.
When I go bowling, it is usually on someone else's dime- The birthday boy's parents, cub scouts, a work event, or a club. The other night, my date paid. I didn't think anything about it. How much could it be? According to their website, over $100, that's how much. I don't know what is included with that, but I paid $50 for 2 drinks (The gratuity was automatically added - I hate that).
The bowling was fine. I don't go often, so I like that there is an automatic scoring system figuring out how you add things up after strikes and spares. I don't like that every time something goes wrong (Once the mechanism ate our balls, another time a kid in the next lane rolled on our lane) it takes 3 or four people to get things sorted out. Even when all was going well, we were pestered by the waitress and the manager repeatedly asking if we were having fun.
The kids surrounding us were noisy and distracting, but what else should you expect at a bowling alley? I was probably like that back in the last century when I was their age, so let them have their fun, I say. I did witness the phenomenon called 6 7. I feel so cool now.
I am a less than average bowler, so scoring over 100 in each game was fun. This has nothing to do with the review, I'm just bragging.
