I walked in, said “good morning,” and the older white man inside immediately started yelling at me to get out because they “weren’t open.” No explanation — just instant hostility. The way he spoke to me was flat-out racist. His tone, his attitude, and the disrespect were directed at me in a way that I do not believe for one second he would use toward a white golfer. It was clear who he thought didn’t belong there. I only got the monthly membership to play with my friends, but after experiencing blatant racism on my first morning, I will not be renewing. This course needs to address the behavior they allow from their staff — because this is unacceptable.
