Family owned and operated, Courtside West is one of Richmond’s longest running Racquet Clubs with a story that started back in the late 1970s.
Designed and built in 1978 by founding partners, C. Page Highfill, AIA Emeritus (retired) and William Smith, AIA Emeritus (retired) — Courtside West has provided the Greater Richmond Area with a private, yet welcoming, indoor multiplex for racquet enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. For nearly 25 years, Page and his wife, Kate, ran Courtside West alongside a host of Richmond Tennis icons. Flash forward three generations, and Page’s two sons and grandson now operate the Club.

Bryan was incredibly accommodating, and Dave was a patient, encouraging instructor. We played for over an hour, and the time absolutely flew by—especially impressive since most of us had never played before. The facility was clean, welcoming, and well run. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back!

The facility is well maintained, the courts are always in great condition, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and professional.
