I was so pleased with his service, I bought a pedego bike for my wife birthday. Let me tell you, after his customer service, I didn’t want to go anywhere else to get the bike. The bikes were clean, he explained how to ride and we had lots of fun. Hats off to you Mike.
- GAGary AllenDec 14, 20205.0Stumbled into Pedego Norfolk because the store is located where our favorite coffee shop used to be when we had an apartment over here about a decade ago. That, plus the fact that 1) my wife had indicated some interest in eBikes, and 2) I’m pretty much into anything that has wheels and moves, had me curious. Plus which, in about 1962 I had a clapped-out Whizzer motorized bicycle, a lightly-modified Schwinn cruiser with no functional brakes and no clutch that could do about 35mph. You learned to Think Ahead on THAT bike. Anyway, I wound up deciding to buy the folding Pedego Latch as a birthday/Christmas/49th Anniversary surprise for my wife, to carry with us in our motorhome trips around the country. She liked it, and I did too, but eventually we decided to get something else. Amy, who owns the store with her hubs and ace mechanic Kevin, took it back and we got my wife a white Interceptor (an aggressive name for a rather chill cruiser bike) AND a red City Commuter for me! Also, a Thule X2 carrier to transport them. Their after-sale service has been exceptional; when both bikes proved to have minor issues that neither they nor we caught at delivery, Kevin drove 55 miles to our house in Williamsburg at night in the rain, fixed my bike’s headlight, spent several hours chasing down and finding a glitch in my wife’s bike’s Pedal Assist function, took the bike back with him and, a day later, Amy arrived back at our house with a brand-new Interceptor for my wife! Since then I’ve been on three or four group rides of about 35 miles each led by Amy and some helpers that have been great fun. My bike is now getting its free 200-mile checkover. And I have my eye on an Element, just for grins, for trail and beach riding. Great products, great people, great service. Service, in fact, beyond anything I’ve experienced on anything, anywhere. Hello Fun, indeed!
