I went to REI to purchase a winter jacket because I wanted to try on multiple brands in person to make sure I got the right size and fit. That is the whole reason I shop at a brick and mortar store instead of ordering online.
I found an Arc'teryx jacket I liked and located what I believed was my size, but it was so covered in anti theft devices that I could not even remove it from the rack to try it on. It had the standard ink tag, a cable attaching it to the wall, and two additional cables securing it to other jackets on the rack. There was zero chance of trying it on without staff assistance.
I then looked at jackets from both The North Face and REI brand, and both were also secured with multiple cables bolting them to the wall and rack. This completely defeats the purpose of coming into the store to try things on.
There was only one associate downstairs, and she was already helping another customer. I was not going to search the entire store just to ask permission to try on a jacket.
If customers cannot freely try on items, there is very little reason to shop in person instead of online.

Called about bringing my skis in for maintenance. They told just to bring them in on Friday or Saturday and they could do the work in about an hour. When I called again on Friday to bring them in they told me they couldn't do the work, and if I brought them in Saturday it would be an additional $30 "rush fee". They could have scheduled my work at the time I called. Very disappointed in the unprofessional and incompetent work of the ski shop.

I came to return some products to this store.
The issue involved an extra item—about $7—that I was charged for but did not purchase. This mistake was entirely on the associate who processed the transaction in another store, but the associate Mara in this store showed no concern or accountability. The attitude was dismissive and unprofessional.
I am extremely unhappy with the service. Offering store credit instead of a proper refund feels like forcing me to continue shopping there, which is completely unfair. I would not recommend this location to anyone.
If you want it even firmer or more polite but still critical, tell me and I’ll tweak the tone.

I bought a Northface jacket from here and while I was skiing, I ran into trouble with my zipper, which proved to be very frustrating to me. I wasn’t able to fix the zipper but today I went to see if I could return or exchange my jacket and a very helpful woman named Molly fixed my zipper. She was very patient and very attentive highly recommend going to the store. Molly shows that they have good help and customer service.
