I was met with an almost argumentative, unnecessarily defensive attitude—a stark contrast to my previous experiences at other REIs. It was frustrating to be talked down to, especially since the problems turned out to be technical issues that the manager admitted he "had no idea" why were happening. Unprofessional, condescending, and rude. I had planned to stay longer to shop for my family's cross-country trip, but opted to leave as soon as humanly possible. I went down the road to Cabela's instead. This is the first time I’ve had such an awful experience at an REI, despite my family shopping at locations across the country for years. The staff at this location would benefit from training on basic customer service and professional courtesy.
