I was in line when I witnessed the cashier aggressively pushing a membership on the customer ahead of me, even after the customer politely declined several times. When it was my turn, she repeated the same aggressive attitude and yelled again, “So you’re never going to come back?? OK!!!” That level of rudeness and pressure is unacceptable. I came to shop, not to be scolded or guilt-tripped into signing up for a membership. Because of this experience, I don’t plan to return to this REI location.
