All store staff is very friendly and helpful, but I did not have a great experience with their return process. I came into exchange a pair of convertible pants that the zipper split on one of the legs. The cashier wanted me to look up on my phone on my account when and where I purchased them which I thought was odd. Then she asked another clerk how to manage this. I was asked if I had ever taken the pant leg off, which I couldn't remember. I don't know why that would matter...they are defective. She continued to try to fix the zipper, and I finally said I don't want a pair of pants that somebody had to put the zipper back on the track. Once a zipper splits it's almost impossible for it to be stable. They both finally agreed that I could exchange it. The whole thing felt like they thought it was my fault. It's not appropriate for a staff member to try to fix an item that is broken that I brought in for exchange. Next time I'll return my items online even if I have to pay for shipping. That will be a lot less stressful.

This has always been a great location. Everyone is very helpful and are available to answer any questions. This time I was helped by Grace who was awesome and went above and beyond to help me with my boots purchase. Definitely recommend this location.

Brought them a used bike that I was looking at purchasing to make sure I was getting a good deal, and that it was in good mechanical condition. Specifically brought up that the seller said there was a rear suspension issue, and to look at that. They said that the rear suspension was fine, and the only issues they found were that the chain needed to be replaced, normal wear and tear, some small scratches on the front suspension, and the front tire needed to be replaced. Bought the bike, and had those repairs done as well as had pedals put on. Fast forward to the next day, I had a feeling that the suspension did indeed have an issue, and took it to a highly reputable bike shop near my home. Come to find out, the rear shock needs to be redone, and the front shock needs to be serviced. I'm now looking at having to spend $600 or more in addition to the $300 I spent at REI on getting those issues taken care of because they weren't caught in the first place even though I brought one of them specifically to their attention. The staff was very friendly, and I do think that they were honestly trying to help, however the fact that I'm now having to spend a lot more money on this bike because they completely missed problems shows a severe lack in knowledge/training. Can't in good conscience send any of my friends or family here if issues like this are missed. Doesn't matter how nice the staff is, if they can't do their job competently.

Very dissapponted with my experience today as I couldn't get the courtesy of a hello or even a goodbye after a transaction. It doesn't take much to let someone know you appreciate them taking time out of their day and are excited to get a new product from their store.
