Very poor experience for my REI pick up order at this location. It’s over 75° and no clouds sunny, I’m sitting in the Curbside order pick up parking spot. I have my infant baby sleeping in the backseat, so no, I did not turn my car off to go idle free.I was maybe waiting 3 to 4 minutes for the employee to bring out my order. The employee comes out and the very first thing he says to me in a very rude tone was “next time you should really turn your car off to go idle free. It’s an idle free city.” – Told him that I have my Infant baby sleeping in the backseat and I don’t want him to overheat. And he doubled down in his stance. I am all for receiving the Earth and doing my part environmentally, but this was the most appalling interaction I’ve ever had with an REI employee ever. it’s one thing to politely . It’s a whole other thing to rudely make an assumption that you understand someone else’s situation completely and then extremely rudely command a customer to do something. What this person doesn’t know is that I have been holding my screaming baby for three hours and he just barely got to sleep and we were sitting in the sun.. There is no excuse for someone to Communicate in the tone and manner that this Employee did. Extremely disappointing and taints my perception of REI employees. Train your staff to not be jerks to customers.

Never enough staff around for questions on gear. Good thing Google can help get the answers I need while I am in the store.

I walked in to REI today intending to buy an pair of running trail shoes. The shoe department was busy with customers when I arrived. There were two sales people working. I patiently waited my turn. However after a long wait I was not acknowledged. I noticed another customer walked in and a sales lady immediately started helping the gentleman. I left the area and walked back again hoping someone would help me. Nothing, I felt invisible. I ended up walking out of the store.

Older lady in the customer service area was very unfriendly. Everyone else was great!
