Wife and I needed to be outfitted for a trip to Alaska. That meant rain gear and dealing with temperature swings. We got the 3rd degree on what we were planning to do and where. And based on that, staff recommended several products at different price points. He also gave his opinion. I went with Outdoor Research rain jacket and Arc'teyrx rain pants. Our guy at REI nailed it. The jacket is warm, breathable, not hot. Layering is easy. It was really the perfect choice. And we put it to the test!
