  As others have mentioned, it’s a smaller store - I went with a purpose, so I didn’t browse much to see what they may not have had. I was camping at Grand Teton NP when I realized I needed a new daypack, and they had an ample selection - ended up with a lovely Gregory Maya 20. HUGE shoutout to Corrine (hopefully I got the spelling right) - she made sure that pack fit right and was comfortable with weight in it, even showing me how I could adjust the torso length. If she happens to see this, thanks again from that tall girl!!

  I was extremely disappointed in this REI. I'm only in town one day for a resupply and they didn't have any of the things I needed. The store doesn't keep a lot of items at the store so you have to order online in advance. The few items they do have they were out of my size. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted and left disappointed.

  When coming to an REI I am usually greeted with smiles and stoke. Not the case here. After spending 2 weeks here in Jackson, I stopped by this REI on 3 different occasions. Everytime my mood was always brought down my Andrew. All 3 times he checked me out at the counter, and every time he was such a debbie downer. I usually expect a positive experience everytime I go into any REI.

  Shout out to Dylan who just made my whole week’s stay in Jackson worth while! All I really want is to take a bicycle drive along Highway 191 so I can be memorized by the Tetons. I bought a Topeka Fixer 3 bicycle basket on Tuesday for $70 same price you could find on Amazon and … I almost took this one back here because “IF” I had to wait till I get home in Oregon to have a bicycle basket, I’d buy off Amazon, cause if there’s any issues I can return it. First off, the packaged screws that came with this kit was 1/2” too short. So I had to go over to Ace Hardware for a whopping $2.49 fix. BUT now I couldn’t get the piece that tightens diwn onto the handlebar because Topeak didn’t finish drilling the screw hole on 1 side. Dylan came out to my van that was parked right out front - there on the sidewalk. He having more muscle than I, took his time to basically finish off what Topeak didn’t drill completely through, so I couldn’t get the screw all the way in, therefore I couldn’t use my basket because the handlebar part went tighten down. Again thanks so much Dylan!! i’m off for a days bicycle trip along Highway 191 to be memorized by those Tetons!!! Sheer delight!

  I have always respected this wonderful store! However, the Jackson Hole store I was overcharged $175 for a pair of Hokas. The name of the young man who rang me up was Alex and the transaction number was 5222. I hope this is reviewed by the proper people at REI. I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN BEFORE! I immediately brought this to his attention and he did not even apologize. I did get my money back. What if he has a pattern of doing this to other patrons. I can forgive an honest mistake and this very well could be an honest mistake. I hope it is! In the meantime I would like Human Resources to examine this transaction and see if it is happening to other patrons. If I am satisfied with the response I will promptly remove this one star review. Thank you so very much!
