  Brought my car to a “special event” tried to pay for my tow car that was at the gate next to me. They let me pay for that vehicle while still taking the vehicles money I was paying for. Also idiotic volunteers on scooters parked in the middle of the return road holding conversations. Very unorganized event for the pricing and having volunteers Here I was thinking about volunteering my time HA

  I just bought tickets for The event “JET SPECTACULAR NIGHT OF FIRE TODAY! to go over their and there is nothing going on, it was all Empty.. & My son was really excited to go for the first time what a disappointment..

  As a lifelong spectator at GLD, it’s my go to place for escape from the world. Nothing better than chrome and candy with loud noises that scare the demons away. It’s a place of history and many legendary racers have passed down those lanes. The smell of raw fuel and rubber burning is one of many scents that you will never forget. As the years passed many folks have graced our racing community are still around and racing today 2026. Thank you GLD and the team of people that operate and advocate for DRAG RACING ! Let’s Go!

  First time taking my ‘99 Trans Am with T-tops here. I was instructed at inspection that a new rule for 2026 was NO T-TOPS. Meaning I had to remove my T-tops and then I could race. Seems a little unsafe to me, but rules are rules. My car performed less than expected, as the t-tops being off created massive amounts of drag much like a parachute. Upon further investigation, NHRA & IHRA RULES clearly state T-Tops must remain ON. “General T-Top Guidelines T-tops MUST be installed: For vehicles running slower than 11.50, the T-tops must be securely latched and in place during a pass. You are typically not permitted to drag race a T-top car with the panels removed.” So….yeah…ummm….how you been otherwise?
