  Honestly, you can find anything in this store cheaper elsewhere. The rewards that they offer are a total scam. They expire. And they barely cover the markup that you'd find buying this stuff from other wholesalers. I'm really perplexed as to how they stay in business at all.

  I truly cannot express how amazing our experience was here. My boyfriend and I are first-time backpackers and received so much help from the staff. Joanne and Ethan helped me get fitted for the best pack within my budget, and Joanne was incredibly knowledgeable. She really went above and beyond to help us. We were also looking for a tent, and she offered several suggestions and even let us set up the tent we were considering right there in the store so we could get a feel for it. On top of that, Ethan and Joanne shared their own hiking experience and gave us great recommendations for clothing for both sleeping and trekking. Joanne even walked us through the store to help us find the best deals and assisted us with shoes as well. When we checked out, Makayla at the register was so kind, she asked about our upcoming trip and even suggested additional hiking spots for us to check out. I have honestly never had such a positive experience in a store before. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone, especially beginners. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and they offer great options across a wide range of price points. We walked in a little nervous and left feeling confident and official REI members!
