Martial Arts School
The Delavan Flying Dragons Martial Arts has been in the Delavan, WI area since January 1983, and has been run by the same Instructor, Master Joe A. Murphy, 7th Degree Black Belt. He is a wonderful person who works well with all different sorts of individuals. He uses what each individual does in their daily lives as a way of teaching them his form of Karate, which helps them understand and pick up martial arts easier and quicker. Master Murphy also has Mr. Chance Eldridge, 4th Degree Black Belt, assisting him as the Head Instructor, overseeing curriculum for the student population.

Returning to Flying Dragons in Delavan after almost 30 years has been one of the best decisions I have made. Master Murphy runs a serious school with zero ego and a ton of knowledge, and he knows how to push adults while keeping it fun. The training is practical, the culture is respectful, and everyone from beginners to old students coming back is welcomed like family. If you are looking for real martial arts, not a belt factory, this is the place. I drive past other schools to train here because there is nothing else like Flying Dragons in this area.

Kids took the intro course through parks and recs for the summer and really enjoyed it. Highly recommend! Master Murphy and his team kept them engaged and wanting to learn more.

I trained at Delavan Flying Dragons Martial Arts during my high school years and have nothing but fond memories of that time. It was exceptional — both the community and the martial arts itself — and it gave me a real foundation for other martial arts I trained in later.
