The team that work here are welcoming, experienced and professional. I didn’t have any expectations bringing a bike I bought off FB marketplace in for brake work but they took care of it in a timely manner. The repair person who worked on my bike demonstrated extensive knowledge and expertise through the way he was deliberate with inspection and repair. He was also the only service person today and he cruised through three people before us. I didn’t mind the wait as it was interesting to watch a master at work.

I had a rough experience at the Trek shop in Gig Harbor last year and walked into Trek Bicycle Tacoma North End a couple weeks ago with pretty low expectations. I’m glad I gave it a chance.
The manager, Curt, was outstanding—patient, straight with me, and focused on helping me understand what would actually work for my needs instead of pushing a sale. I was shown the Trek Verve+ FX (FX+ 1) and I genuinely liked it—especially because it comes set up with practical commuter-ready features like a rear rack, fenders, and front/rear lights. The whole experience felt honest and well-run.
It’s not easy to find a bike shop that makes you feel confident you’re getting the right e-bike and the right support after the purchase, but that’s exactly how this visit went. Now I’m stuck with the “good problem” of deciding which local shop to buy from—because Trek Tacoma made a great case for earning my business.
Highly recommend if you’re shopping for an e-bike or want a bike shop in Tacoma that treats you with respect and gives you real answers.
June 3rd update: I went in to test ride the Verve 2. There are a lot of things I like about this bike like the built in headlight, Bosch mid mount motor, raiser handlebars, the step through frame, the smooth shifting of gears, the auto adjust brakes, the ability to ride from the front door and go straight up hill for 20 or more blocks, and more.
There are also things I did not like about the bike. When I got back to the store, I went over my list of likes and dislikes with Curt. I asked if there might be a bike that has everything I like and eliminates some of the dislikes. I was shown and allowed to ride a Charter model 4 bike.
The Charter bike had everything I liked about the Verve and eliminated all but one of my dislikes. The Verve weighs in at about 51 pounds and adding the things to the bike that removes my dislikes adds another 10 pounds to the bike making the Charter 61 pounds. I am left with only the weight being a dislike.

This was such a wonderful bike buying experience. I really didn’t know what I wanted and Jason was great at asking questions and choosing different bikes for me based off my answers, and then fine tuning his recommendations based off my feedback after test riding. He was a wealth of knowledge, very patient, and thoughtful. He really cared about getting me in the right bike vs just trying to make a sale. We were there for a long time and I never felt rushed or pressured. The whole crew even stayed late to make an adjustment on my new bike once I finally picked it out. Big shout out to Jason and Curtis, thank you!

This bike shop is so great. Brought 5 year old son's Schwinn in to have a brake lever and line repaired after it was damaged in a crash he had. They were able to source the new brake lever and have it shipped, installed and the bike turned around all in less than a week. I thought the shipping alone would take more than that. The tech's in the shop were all super friendly, loved that a five year old is out riding that hard, and gave him a coloring book and stickers as well. I don't think that they charged me labor for how cheap the repair was. Top notch, five star service. Will definitely be going back. I need to get a bike of my own to keep up with the kid and this is the place I will buy from because it's so important to support these local businesses that play such an important role in our community. I used to have a Trek in high school and I loved it, looking forward to rediscovering riding again. Thank you guys so much and see you soon!
