Went there yesterday on 4th of July for my first time, no marshal around which was frustrating. But what really irritated me is I tried to order food w my sons at the bar that clearly stated that it closes at 3 that day. The time was 1:57. The young girl working there wouldn’t make us food because she was shutting down the grill. When I brought up the sign, she started giving me excuses about how long it takes to clean the grill. Clearly she had places to be rather then serve her customers and lied to my face about closing time. I had no problem with things closing down early for the holiday, but then the sign should have said 2pm and even then, it wasn’t even 2 o’clock yet. What I can’t stand is people lying to my face which is the standard nowadays with this young generation! Not planning on returning!

Fabulous little course outside of the greater Portland/Vancouver area. Reasonable price. Good conditions. Fantastic greens. It's one of my favorite courses in the area.

The new management is ridiculous, tried to play 13-15 holes today and pay for full round and they didn’t allow me at 4:50pm when dusk is at 9:30pm. If you’re trying to play before sunset. Don’t come here. They don’t care about your money! Also the front desk guy talked to me like I’m an idiot. Very disappointed in them. I bring them a lot of business and people. From now on we will take our evening rounds somewhere else.

Pumpkin Ridge, The Reserve, Stone Creek and all other portland metro courses allow you to play until sundown. This mediocre golf course DOESN'T ALLOW you to make the turn at 6:50? Sundown is past 9, we could have easily played 18. Tee time was just after 4:30 and the incredibly rude front desk guy was talking at me like I'm an idiot for asking why we couldn't play past 9 holes. So ridiculous there was no point of having a discussion. "They don't need the money" lol. They want to "keep the course in great condition". You're in Ridgefield WA and an OK course. Pumpkin and all others let you play till dusk, that's a joke. You're telling me I can't finish work and play 15-18 holes at the peak of summer while all others allow you to do it? Ridiculous.

The course itself plays well. It’s a difficult track and conditions are always decent for the price. Now the bad part: expect a 5+ hour round minimum at Tri-Mountain. There’s no marshal out there, which would be fine if management showed any sense of urgency. They don’t. On a recent round, the group ahead of us was taking 20+ minutes per hole with only one group in front of them and the rest of the course completely open. After dealing with it for 9 holes, I politely called the pro shop to ask if anything could be done. They said the cart girl had already spoken to the group, but the pace actually got worse after that. On the 11th (a par 3), they took 20 to 25 minutes while we waited on the tee box. When I mentioned we were on pace for a 6-hour round, the employee got verbally upset and started raising his voice. He said he gets mad at people calling about a marshal (they can’t afford one) and that the group ahead paid for their round. I paid for mine too. He asked if I’d pay $90 for a round. I said yes, if it meant keeping a normal pace like any other course. He yelled one last time and hung up on me. We ended up skipping two holes just to finish in a reasonable time, and the course was wide open behind that group. We waited patiently, called in politely, and got treated like trash for it. Heron Lakes has cheaper green fees AND marshals on the course, so I’m not sure what the excuse is here. Bottom line: decent course, but I’d only recommend it if you don’t mind extremely slow rounds and grumpy staff. If there are tee times elsewhere, book there instead
