- MMMariJun 21, 20262.0Layout and merch is good, but customer service is horrible. Been here a couple times and every time I ask to try on some clothing, the staff appears annoyed and bothered, even though I ask nicely. Unfortunately, it's been a trend I've noticed at REI lately with their staff.

I went in to return them (or ideally exchange for something else) and they rejected the return for being “normal wear and tear”. The manager explained that “the pants they buy never last longer than six months so why should these.” REI has always been my first stop but this was a really disappointing seeing that they won’t even stand by their own store branded product well within their members return window.

Recently, my husband and I visited to purchase shoes for our son size 15, and Isabelle made the experience truly memorable. She gave us her full attention, treated us with kindness and respect, and made us feel genuinely valued as REI members. Isabelle left a lasting impression on us—not only as a representative of REI, but also as a young woman who clearly carries strong values, respect, and a sense of family. It was immediately evident that she was raised with care and integrity, qualities we hope our own son will grow up with as well. Education can strengthen communication and knowledge, but family values remain the true foundation of character. This was a beautiful experience, and I wanted to sincerely thank REI for having such wonderful young people as part of the future of our community.
