This is the store for outdoor lovers; bike ( regular & electric ), winter gear and clothing; shoes, backpacks and tents. I believe can buy pretty much anything for your outdoor activities. And if you want to buy bargains items look around the racks with the marks on top of it. Many brands and selection of gears.

I am so thrilled with this store. The layout and parking is great! During their sale today I walked in and there was a huge line so I did curbside pickup of my order and by the time I parked on the south side the clerk was coming out. That saved me so much time and I am grateful. REI is always my first choice to shop there because of their amazing return policy of hard to fit and test in store items like shoes and backpacks. This location is so much better than the mall also. I will keep coming back here and recommend the store.

I have always loved rei, but last few visits have done me in, today is it, I dont blame store policy and amount of abuse from my fellow customers but I do have issue with how employees interact. I wanted to ask about expensive walking sticks I bought a few years back and yet I didn't get a chance to use them much (black diamond) it fell into 3 pieces, ugh. So with recipe in hand I went to the store and got in line to talk with a clerk to find out if any process or information or can they take care of it. I was first in line (they just opened) ok I was second, the clerk was helping a customer and he looks up and talks over the customer "what are you here for, what do you need?" I was taken aback given he is helping someone and they turn and look at me. I stated I needed to find about my walking stick. He went on about nothing they can do and then take it back to the bike shop and maybe they can look at it etc etc. Awful for the poor customer waited to check out. I went back to the bike shop I guess tracking pole repair shop. A nice person was told I will be there and he looked at it for I guess a second and said nothing we can do, take it back to black diamond, go to Seattle downtown. Oh can't replace or ...no talk to black diamond. Bye. Ok well we were there to look for some other items but we decided to just leave and say goodbye. It's is amazing how a simple thing can make you not want to go back again. Anyway I will try to fix it and also writing black diamond about how this happened to there best walking pole (no fault of rei) but, the interaction with the two staff ends my rei shopping, which is strange because for years so many nice people. Thank you

Got stranded on the side of the road and needed help from the bike shop. Guy was rude and dismissive and got to talk to Dan the store manager and this guy was even worse. Can't believe it. I've been member for 20 years. Told to Dan how it affected me and he started making fun of me. Usually they are amazing. Don't know how these two idiots got jobs there

This is my second disappointing experience with the bicycle department at REI, and unfortunately, it has left me very frustrated with the company overall. I was initially encouraged by their advertised 1-year satisfaction guarantee, which influenced my decision to purchase a bike for my son. However, when I visited the Lynnwood location to return the bike after 10 months (well within the 12-month window), the experience was far from what I expected. Instead of a smooth return process, I was met with excessive questioning from staff about why I was returning the bike. My straightforward answer — that the bike simply wasn’t worth the money — didn’t seem to be accepted. While I was having the conversation with the staff, I was met with cold shoulders and dismissive body language, including staff shaking their heads. It felt very unprofessional and unwelcoming. What makes this even more frustrating is that I’m already a bike owner with two bikes, and I came in fully intending to replace my son’s bike with a better, likely more expensive option. I also clearly told the staff that I was planning to purchase two additional bikes for myself and my wife during that visit, but that didn’t seem to make any difference in how the situation was handled. I ultimately decided not to move forward with any purchases due to the lack of flexibility and overall customer experience. I also contacted REI’s customer service line to get clarification on what qualifies as “customer satisfaction” under their guarantee, but I did not receive a clear or helpful explanation. My advice to anyone considering buying a bike here: make sure you fully understand how they define “customer satisfaction,” and if possible, get those terms clearly explained in writing. Otherwise, you may find the policy doesn’t work the way it’s advertised.
