  ​If you need outdoor gear and want to talk to friendly sales people who actually know the difference between a carabiner and a cotter pin, this is the place. I’ve personally spent a lot of time poking around their biking and climbing sections, and the staff is consistently excellent. They have pretty much everything you could possibly need to survive the elements. ​Now, let’s address the elephant in the woods: the locals jokingly call this place "Really Expensive Inc." for a reason. Your wallet will feel the pinch. However, in my book, it is particularly worth it because of their legendary, golden-ticket return policy. It basically acts as an insurance policy on your gear, which justifies the premium. ​That said, there are two major caveats you should know before you walk through the doors: ​First, Bigfoot definitely does not shop here. If you wear a size 14 shoe or above, don't bother looking on the racks. They rarely stock anything for the vertically and horizontally gifted foot. If you've got big feet, save yourself the trip and head straight to the web. ​Second, if you are an e-bike rider, take note. While they happily sell e-bikes, their shop typically won't repair or service an e-bike you bought from another company. Before you get mad at the mechanics, it’s not really their fault. It turns out corporate shops are terrified of uncertified, supposedly dangerously explosive lithium batteries and the massive liabilities that come with them. You can blame this one entirely on the lawyers. ​Overall, it's a fantastic spot for quality gear and expert advice—just buy your giant shoes and third-party e-bike parts online.

  The shoe department employees here are AMAZING. A taller woman helped me find shoes and did an amazing job listening to my feedback on each shoe and bringing out another based on that feedback. I ended up finding a fantastic shoe that I'm so excited to wear. My husband was having a hell of a time due to very unique needs for his shoes. A quiet gentleman watched him walk around, listened to feedback, and thankfully managed to find a great shoe for him too. 10/10 shoe experience. Many thanks to both of the amazing employees!
