- EBElizabeth BrownOct 4, 20265.0Me and my friend visited this park today and it was so peaceful and relaxing! It was sad to see the water feature closed because of the drought though. We saw deer and a garden snake. They had a bunch of little pergolas with tables to study or sit at throughout the park. So nice I loved it and we’ll definitely be back!!

- MMMj MorganJun 5, 20265.0The BYU Botany Pond is a surprisingly peaceful little spot tucked away on campus. If you're walking through the area, it's worth taking a few minutes to wander over and enjoy the scenery. There are ducks, turtles if you're lucky, plenty of trees, and enough shade to make it a comfortable place to sit and take a break. Right now everything is green and well-maintained, and it feels a world away from the busy sidewalks and classrooms nearby. The nearby paths, mature trees, mountain views, and historic campus buildings make for a pleasant walk and some surprisingly good photo opportunities. It's a great place to clear your head, enjoy a quiet conversation, or simply sit and watch the ducks go about their day. Not necessarily a destination I'd drive across the state to visit, but if you're anywhere near BYU, it's definitely worth stopping by.
