- MMMj MorganJun 5, 20265.0The BYU Botany Pond is a surprisingly peaceful little spot tucked away on campus. If you're walking through the area, it's worth taking a few minutes to wander over and enjoy the scenery. There are ducks, turtles if you're lucky, plenty of trees, and enough shade to make it a comfortable place to sit and take a break. Right now everything is green and well-maintained, and it feels a world away from the busy sidewalks and classrooms nearby. The nearby paths, mature trees, mountain views, and historic campus buildings make for a pleasant walk and some surprisingly good photo opportunities. It's a great place to clear your head, enjoy a quiet conversation, or simply sit and watch the ducks go about their day. Not necessarily a destination I'd drive across the state to visit, but if you're anywhere near BYU, it's definitely worth stopping by.
