  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I don’t write a lot of reviews, but this place definitely deserves one. I’ve been here several times now, mostly at night, and every single visit has been a great time. It’s got that classic old-school bowling alley feel that so many places have lost. No gimmicks, no trying too hard—just good people, cold drinks, bowling, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. Honestly, we need more places like this. The nights I’ve been there, Harrison has been behind the bar, and he’s awesome. Super friendly, quick with the drinks, keeps the energy up, and does a great job making everyone feel welcome. You can tell he enjoys what he does, and it shows. Great bartender and a big part of why the place has such a fun vibe at night. I also stopped in on a Monday afternoon thinking it’d be slow, and somehow it was just as much fun. The crowd was all over the place in the best way—regulars, families, friends, league bowlers—everyone just laughing, talking, and having a good time. It feels like the kind of place where everybody belongs. The Monday afternoon MVP was Regina. I’ve actually known Regina from another place, so it was awesome walking in and seeing her behind the bar. She is, without a doubt, one of the best bartenders around. She’s beautiful, hilarious, full of personality, and somehow manages to keep everyone’s drinks full while making every person at the bar feel like they’re one of her regulars. My drinks were ice cold, made perfectly, and never took more than a minute. She made sure I knew about all the upcoming leagues, karaoke nights, tournaments, and specials, and she genuinely made the whole afternoon even more fun. You can tell both Harrison and Regina really enjoy what they do, and that kind of service is hard to find. They each bring their own energy, make everyone feel welcome, and are a huge reason I’ll keep coming back. If you’re looking for some fancy, overpriced entertainment, this isn’t it—and that’s exactly why I love it. If you’re looking for a place with good vibes, great people, affordable drinks, old-school bowling, and bartenders who make the experience even better, this is your spot. I’ll definitely be back with family and friends. This place is a hidden gem, and people like Harrison and Regina are exactly what keep it that way.

  A great hub for community that has it's own culture and vibe. Great if youre looking for something lowkey and different. Seems like a hometown gem for many in The Colony. Yeah it's got it's quirks, if ya got a problem go to main event or pinstack. but if youre down for some cheap drinks and a good time, go to lakes!

  I booked two bowling lanes to celebrate my son's birthday, but the cigarette smell was unbearable. I was embarrassed in front of my guests, I'll never go again, and I don't recommend it if you're a non-smoker and like to breathe. Smoking is prohibited on the lane, but it's allowed in the bar. The problem is that there are no walls or windows to isolate the area.

  I LOVE this place! Took my kids and a few friends today and we had an absolute blast! Lakes Lanes is exactly what a bowling outing should feel like, fun, laid-back, and unpretentious. The vibes are pure 90s nostalgia, with that comfortable, no-judgment atmosphere you just don’t get at the newer, flashy arcade-style bowling alleys. Yes, the place shows its age, but the lanes bowl great and everything worked! The service was excellent, especially the wonderful woman at the bar who made a delicious strawberry drink. This is my kind of spot. I’ll definitely be back soon!
