  I needed to get a different size trail shoe because the ones I bought in Oklahoma were too small. South lake had the ones I needed. The put them on hold for me and I went to exchange. They were very nice with the exchange and I had no problems. The Merrill shoes were fantastic on the manitou incline, barr trail and trails through garden of the Gods.

  Just want to give a 5-star shout out to associate Ross Adams. I accompanied my son who dropped off his bike for repairs at this location today. Ross was very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, patient, professional, displayed great customer service. He took lots of time with us, presented different options, presented clear plan for going forward. He seemed very proactive in making sure we were taken care of. He appears to genuinely love his job. REI is fortunate to have him on their team. I really feel he went the extra mile for us today. Keep up the good work, and thanks!

  We came into REI Southlake the day before my son's birthday to buy his bike, and left without getting the safety check done since we needed it ready first thing the next morning. We came back to get the safety check done and pick up a kickstand and water bottle holder — and that's when we had the pleasure of working with DX. DX was incredibly helpful with my son's bike, taking the time to make sure everything was set up right. But what really stood out was what happened next: I mentioned I wanted to start riding bikes with my two boys, and DX took the time to really listen and help me find a bike that fit my needs perfectly. I ended up purchasing it that same day. It's hard to put into words what a gift that is — DX didn't just sell me a bike, he gave me a way to spend meaningful time with my nine and six-year-old sons. That kind of thoughtful, patient customer service is rare. I'm so grateful for DX's experience, his time, and the genuine care he put into helping our family. Highly recommend asking for him if you're at the Southlake store!

  I wish there was more I could do besides writing a review but this was the absolute best shopping experience I’ve ever had. Lilly, Thomas, and one other gentleman, a veteran, all helped me with my experience. They all treated me with kindness, were extremely friendly and gave great recommendations without being pushy. THEY ALL NEED A RAISE!! They were absolutely stellar. The store was clean, organized, and not a moment went by that I felt as though the team didn’t care about me. If you are the manager of this place, please tell them they’re doing an amazing job. I’m currently on hold with REI customer service just to tell them how amazing my experience was because I feel like it deserves more than a review. Awesome job REI Southlake!!
