- CCCatAug 15, 20265.0I started at Golftec in 2022 with no prior experience. As a beginner, my goals were to learn the game, develop a consistent swing, and build confidence on the course. Golftec on Coit Road in Plano is a well-maintained facility with private, in-bay spaces for practice and lessons. With OptiMotion technology, swings are recorded and analyzed with precision, making it easy to identify areas for improvement and track progress. Jared Kaplan, a PGA member and Certified Personal Coach, has been my instructor since the beginning of my golf journey. He is an excellent coach who has helped me develop my swing, and become confident as a golfer. Since starting at Golftec, my swing and knowledge of the game have progressed exponentially. Within the Golftec app, after each lesson, I can review my recorded swings, drills, analysis, and coaching notes. Scheduling lessons and practice sessions through the app is easy. Highly recommended Golftec and Jared if you want to improve your golf game with expert coaching!

He helped me understand my swing numbers and figure out the 1-2 things I could work on to improve my contact... genius! He's also doing a great job as the new manager of Plano Golftec. He really promotes the successful learning for all of Plano's students.

I wasn't making much progress and probably picked up a few bad habits that my other coaches didn't bother to fix. I'm grateful my friend recommended Liam and golftec. The technology is great and really helped me visualize my issues and what to do to improve. Liam is easy to talk to, patient, and really explains concepts in a way that I can understand. He's not just a coach who will watch you hit balls for 30 mins, say good work, then say see you next week. He will show you on the video statistics and data and what to do to improve. Plus they have air conditioning.

Why do I need a Swing Evaluation
The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
How is your club fitting different from others?
Our TECFIT club fitting system provides a precision, agnostic fitting experience. All GOLFTEC Certified Fitters use our advanced launch monitor technology to measure your unique launch conditions. While most other fitters stop there, we utilize our proprietary equipment database of thousands of club/shaft combinations to identify the perfect club configuration to optimize performance based on your swing. Clubs fit and built to your unique swing DNA will lead to greater consistency, distance, and confidence on the golf course.
