  We recently visited The Range in McKinney, Texas for a bachelor party, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! A huge thank you to owner Thom and the incredible staff—Marissa, Tyler, Matt, and Jonah—for going above and beyond to make our group feel welcome and ensure everyone had an amazing time. Their professionalism, knowledge, and friendly attitudes made the entire experience smooth, safe, and a lot of fun. One of the highlights of the day was the simulator, which was absolutely awesome! It added a unique and exciting element to the event and was a big hit with everyone in our group. Whether you're an experienced shooter or a first-time visitor, The Range delivers a first-class experience. If you're looking for a great place for a bachelor party, group outing, or just a fun day at the range, I highly recommend The Range. We'll definitely be back! Thanks again, Thom, Marissa, Tyler, Matt, and Jonah for helping make the day unforgettable!

  Never going to The Range Mckinney again. As soon as we entered the establishment, a worker stopped us and we opened our ammo bag for him and we told him we didn’t have any green tips so he took out all of the ammo and checked every box and as I was putting it away, he took out his magnet and took every box out to check it AGAIN and then TOLD US “I’m gonna have them search you again at the front.” even though he already knew we didn’t have any from the first two times he searched us. the girl at the checkout said we’re only allowed to be in there for 45 mins but we still had to pay for the full hour, not sure why they can’t charge for half an hour since we got there at 5:50 (Check the cameras), but we didn’t get to the check in desk until 6:02 because he took our ammo out of the bag twice which added a lot of extra time. THEN we entered the shooting room and the big guy that searched us in the beginning was in there and was watching our every move like right on us even though there were four other groups in the room. He gave me a warning for my finger being on the trigger before being ready even though I know for a fact it wasn’t. I’ve shot guns my whole life. I know not to put my finger on the trigger unless I intended to shoot. Just wanted to point out I never once had a loaded gun pointed anywhere other than the range, and if I did, someone would’ve said something but I didn’t so idk why the response said I did lol. He also watched me take a piece of gum out of my purse, unwrap it and put it in my mouth and then made me spit it out as soon as it was in my mouth. (Not the most disappointing part of the visit lol it was one piece of gum and he watched me unwrap it to which I said “do you want a piece?” Since he was watching me so closely when I opened it.) I don’t even care about the gum, it’s just the fact that this guy was watching ONLY us and waiting for any chance to say something even though we’re both experienced and have been to the range a few times. It felt like he had something out for us and just made the whole experience very stressful and not fun at all. I will say the RSO that was in the room at the end was awesome and I really liked him. Too bad I’ll never be back /:

  Range master and front desk staff were great. I will definitely be back. Everyone there was knowledgeable and willing chat about your needs.

  This place is so awesome! Very clean, modern and inviting. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Matt, our private instructor was phenomenal. It was my daughter's first time shooting and he made her feel so comfortable and did a great her. We will return!
