First, I found it distracting to see staff wearing pronoun badges; I believe companies should focus solely on products and customer service rather than incorporating social agendas. Additionally, they no longer provide shopping bags, which adds an unnecessary layer of inconvenience. I prefer to support businesses that stick to retailing outdoor gear without the extra messaging, and I will be looking for alternative outdoor retailers in the future.

Staff at the cashier desk not the best to help when it comes to returns, exchanges or applying rewards balance. REI Customer support over the phone is Phenomenal First class though, got it all sorted through them over the phone afterwards and that’s what I recommend if you don’t get good support in this particular store.
