The Pond Hockey Club

One of our youth program offerings for the fall of 2016 is the Mallards Tournament Teams. These teams will be very similar to what we have offered in years past. The Tournament Teams are for more experienced players committed to intense skill development (5-8 hrs of ice time per week) and have a desire to travel outside of Austin for tournament games. Players are selected through a tryout. We will offer teams at the Squirt, Peewee, Bantam and possibly Midget age divisions.

This session is for players that have the accomplished the basic skating skills. After a short warm-up, players will be divided into small groups of 4-6 skaters and rotate through several stations and small area games that focus on building skills in skating, shooting, passing, stick-handling. Space is limited to 24 skaters and 4 goalies (free for goalies). Full hockey gear is required.

his session is for players that are trying to acquire the basic skating skills in order to play hockey. Space is limited to 6 skaters. A helmet and skates are required. Shin guards and elbow pads are highly encouraged.
