- LLLarry2 days ago5.0Golftec Southwest Austin is a great place to take lessons, practice and work your way to a better golf game. Coach James is an excellent teacher with a wealth of golf swing knowlege. The Golftec motion study and technology greatly facilitates the process of learning and improving your swing. The methods employed maximize the ability to "take it to the course" and enhance the enjoyment of the game. I've been going to Golftec for years yet amazed by the new things I'm still learning. Highly recommend.

- PSPreston George SmithJun 16, 20265.0I purchased a package in the end of 2025. After 6 months of lessons with their manager, James Wood, I shot an 82, new personal best by 5 strokes. We have worked on draw-biased swing paths in multiple phases, proper weight shifting, tilting, sequencing, head positioning/ stability, and creating more lag. I tried all of this using social media, but using the software to track your swing at golftec with an instructor has been much more effective. Golf is finally fun.

Why do I need a Swing Evaluation
The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
How is your club fitting different from others?
Our TECFIT club fitting system provides a precision, agnostic fitting experience. All GOLFTEC Certified Fitters use our advanced launch monitor technology to measure your unique launch conditions. While most other fitters stop there, we utilize our proprietary equipment database of thousands of club/shaft combinations to identify the perfect club configuration to optimize performance based on your swing. Clubs fit and built to your unique swing DNA will lead to greater consistency, distance, and confidence on the golf course.
