  The most exceptional customer service I've experienced in a long time! I was shopping for hiking shoes and Diane was INCREDIBLE. Her and Jodi were extremely knowledgible on all the different brands, features, and fits. I have very wide feed so finding shoes is always difficult, but they made it easy. They brought me lots of sizes and brands promptly and genuinely cared that they fit. I also became an REI member per Diane's recommendation. Great experience overall and I love my new shoes :)

  Store has a great selection. First employee asked if our dog was a service dog and we said yes. She was nice. Me and my siblings left with the dog to go outside while the person that was handling it stayed inside. Upon arriving back in, this old bag comes whipping out towards us and asking us to “check in” I repiled with a rude “ask it.” She questioned us and asked “why is the dog switching between people?” In such a rude and entitled manner. I told her she couldn’t ask for identification or anything. I understand that you can ask. I get the service dog has a legal handler. However, the legal handler can have a family member hold the leash to the animal. Yes was I a little rude, maybe. I have autism and hate conflict but go head and bother us when half our family has autism.

  Been a part of this Co-Op for 30 plus years. The staff at this location were rude and not welcoming at all. Short cruptic answers bordering on straight contempt. My presence to them felt like I was bothering them by asking questions. I went found the tent I wanted on Amazon. I will not return to this location. I may never shop REI again.

  I ordered a tent after coming in to check out the selection in person, the tent arrived 3 days early. Also this place has a great selection of dehydrated meals!

  Shopped her so many times in the past , I brought my dog and also bought her stuff as they sell dog gear. Decided to stop in with my foster to buy her something and I didn’t even make it halfway into the store and was more or less kicked out. Not even a “really sorry/corporate making us/wish ya could stay”, nothing. Just a really cold “hey, not a service animal? Ya gotta leave!”. Being an outdoor company that also sells dog gear and food, the only rule/restriction should be the dog be leashed, up to date on shots and friendly! Avoid REI until they change this policy. There’s plenty of dog shops and local outdoor stores that will welcome you and your dog, without placing any restrictions! Hollywood feed is right down the street from REI and they’re so welcoming! 3 rivers Outdoor Co is not too far either! They’re right down on S Braddock ave! Been there before with our rescues, amazing place!
