  2 courses here. I believe I played the Heritage? Not sure, I was switched last minute. I decided to walk with my push cart. I don’t recommend walking even if you walk all the time like me. There are long walks in between holes. Hole 2 was confusing with both pins of both courses right next to each other. Hole 4 was a hike just to get there. Pretty much 1/2 of the course, you’re just trying to get to the tee box. Terrible layout for a course. Hole 18 was lined up with the other 18 and another hole? So you had like 100 people on both sides of you playing. Not everyone is going to hit the ball straight. More than likely I wouldn’t play here. Plus side, the staff here are extremely friendly.

  Pretty much what you expect from a public golf course. Two lovely courses to play on Monday-Thursday, getting worse by Friday, into stay away on the weekends. The traffic on the course is just too busy. Watching the yokels take two or three swings off the tee. Because for some reason they think it's going to be better the third time after topping the previous two. Along with launching a case of balls into the woods. To the point it can take a single person 5+ hours to play a round because of wait times.

  No longer has a Par 3, only reason for the 4 not a 5. I know many people miss it. Closest one now 45 minutes away. Was a great place for people to learn as well as to work on my short game especially after a long winter. I'm a senior, high handicap, been 6 years since I played. Just getting back now that my health has improved. The two courses offer good choices and a nice mixture of golf. Heritage, former challenge course, does seem to play a bit Easier then before. Used to have horrible rough and I think was beyond most amateurs. Even being so rusty, I can play either course now, not well, but enjoyable. With a neck fusion, loss of 55 lbs, 2 new knees, I play very differently now, still getting used to it. Here's three best part. My 11 year old grandson is learning three game. Lessons started last summer and he is loving it. White Deer does not charge him to play as long as there is a paying adult with him. This allows me to bring him along with me without worry of expenses. This is huge! Thank you. We NEED younger golfers. It is not a cheap sport and takes a lot of time so every bit of help is important. Oh, years ago I started a new tournament for United Churches. We have held this tournament at White Deer every year since. They are very helpful. Ken Weiss
