  Spent almost a thousand dollars on a bicycle and the gd thing got a flat tire within 3 days before it could be given as a gift. And the stupid tire is a non-standard tube bike pump?! Absolutely livid.

  Best customer service! You would think that all REI stores are equal; they are not. This particular location has by far the most customer service focused employees than any other that I have experienced. Over multiple visits, multiple years, multiple locations, every time I visit the Hillsboro location there is an observable difference in how just about any employee here interacts with customers. My most recent visit in particular: thank you, Steve! You made my day.
