I brought in my Thule bike rack on June 24, 2026 with a problem that turned out to be waaay tougher than expected. In the end, we didn't actually solve it—but honestly, that almost didn't matter. The staff spent time with me, brainstormed solutions, tested ideas, and genuinely cared about helping. What stood out to me wasn't just their expertise (which is excellent), but how much fun they made the whole process. It felt less like a frustrating repair visit and more like a group of knowledgeable buddies determined to help a fellow cyclist figure things out. Customer service like that is super rare. Even though I left with the same problem I arrived with, I left impressed, grateful, and confident that I was in the right place. I can't recommend the REI bike shop enough. They're the real deal y’all.

They also with properly fit you for a backpack, which is a must if you want to hike and properly pack out supplies to last you the amount of days you plan to stay
